Why we built GetRenting
We had great tenants who had become friends. We wanted them to stay.
We were already looking after the property and paying the bills, while still paying our agent 4.4% of the rent. We wanted to reduce that cost and put the savings towards keeping rent increases smaller.
That’s why we built GetRenting: to help owners manage their rental with support, and access agent services for a fixed fee when needed. Giving owners more control over their costs can also make it easier for good tenants to stay.

Common questions
Can I manage my rental myself?
Yes. GetRenting guides you through transferring management of your rental property from your agent to you. We help you collect the records you need, set up schedules and reminders, and manage repairs. Each task has clear steps to follow, with support when you need it.
How much time does it take?
After the initial setup, confirming rent payments takes less than a minute a week. Just check that the rent has arrived in your bank account, then click to confirm it.
How do I manage repairs?
Your tenant can report a non-urgent repair with photos and video. You can ask questions, review quotes and record progress in GetRenting. You approve the work and arrange the contractor.
For urgent repairs, your tenant should contact you directly by phone.
